Pray these spirits to come on your children.  Pray like this:

 "Father in the name of Jesus, I pray for the spirit of..."

*Love:  to come upon my child.  That they would live a life of love.  Loving themselves and others.  I bind selfishness and destructive thoughts.  (Gal. 5:25)

*Self Control:  Help my children to have restraint for their thoughts, their feelngs and their behavior.  Let them be alert and attentive to everything around them.  Let them have a strong 'yes' and a strong 'no.'  (1 Ths. 5:6)

*Love for God's Word:  My children will grow to find your Word more precious than pure gold and sweeter than honey.  Let them memorize and retain scripture that will lead them into their purpose.  (Ps. 19:10)

*Courage:  May my children always be strong and courageous in their character and in their actions.  Give them strength not to be swayed by peer pressure.  Give them the strength to do right.  (Dt. 31:5)

*Generosity:  Grant my children a spirit of generosity.  Let them always be willing to share and see the need in others.  Let them understand that blessings are always to be shared.  (I Tim 6:18-19)
